Flashlight: Xmas Viral

When we're not busy making films for other people, we're busy making them for ourselves. The week before Christmas 2011 we decided to make a little homemade card to send to our friends and supporters as a 'thank you' for all their help and just to spread some good old-fashioned Northern Stars cheer.

We set off through the sleet for Newcastle's Quayside with some torches and a big idea: to create a human Christmas tree complete with twinkling lights. The whole thing was shot in available light in 40 minutes - there's nothing like the cold to make you work fast - edited in two hours and posted on the web that evening. It got hundreds of hits in the run up to Santa's arrival and we're already planning our 2012 card - want to join us?
